Patagonia Frontiers 9-day backpacking program aims to build individuals' expedition skills through an involved, comprehensive, and transformative experience. Set in the pristine and wild mountains of Patagonia, this course weaves together backpacking techniques with cultural immersion and geographical understanding. We aim to not only reinforce the necessary outdoor skills to embark on your own adventures afterward, but to develop a deeper connection and understanding of the landscapes you travel through.
The program takes place within Patagonia Frontiers wilderness classroom, which stretches throughout the Soler Valley in Chile's Aysén region. Here, you will travel amongst the massive peaks of the Andes and alongside the Northern Patagonian Icefield. Each day, you will hone navigational and travel techniques, as well as develop an understanding of the environmental and cultural forces which dominate the area. More than a backpacking trip, this course is an immersion into what it truly means to be outdoors.
